Back in my youth, I rocked the drums in Hannover, but my love for photography and stories ran deep. So, in 1996, I ditched my electrical engineering studies after two weeks to kickstart one of the earliest media designer apprenticeships at TV-Production Company TVN in Hannover. I graduated with honors in 1999, stayed at TVN for a year as an editor, and handled internal communications for a big German car company.

In 2000, my celluloid dreams called, and I headed to Hamburg to join PetersenNaumann, one of Germany's top ad film production companies at the time. There, I delved into the world of film, building a solid showreel that set me on the freelance path in 2002. Since then, I've edited commercials for big names like Mercedes-Benz, BMW, VW, Mini, Opel, McDonalds, Nivea, Samsung, Loewe and many more, even on the international stage.

2006 marked a milestone as I edited my first feature film, "Bis zum Ellenbogen," the directors debut by Justus von Dohnanyi. Over the years, I've worked on various projects, from several portraits for the European Commission Museum in 2010 with Viviane Blumenschein to "Die Räuberin" by Markus Busch in 2011, the documentary "Bonne Nuit Papa" by Marina Kem in 2013, and "Schubert in Love" by Lars Büchel in 2016.

In 2021, destiny brought me face to face with Til Schweiger, and I worked with him on his films "Lieber Kurt", "Manta Manta Zwoter Teil" and "Das Beste kommt noch" for two years. Now, I'm back and ready to share my experiences with you and your projects.

Beyond the editing suite, I cherish family life with my lovely French wife and my two boys. Lately, I've rediscovered my love for sports and books, and stayed busy renovating our home. And when the creative itch strikes, you'll find me in my studio, making music with drums, bass, and piano. For the curious ones, here's a snapshot of me: Aquarius, born on February 18, a Wood Rabbit and Enneagram type 5.

Throughout my 25-year career, I've dived into a wide range of genres. Each project brings its own unique flavor, keeping me sharp and fostering growth. This diversity has gifted me a treasure trove of experiences to tap into today. That's the magic of editing – it's forever changing, endlessly engaging, and far from dull. To me, film editing is both an art and a craft.

Let's embark on this journey together, where creativity knows no bounds!
